WreckMaster offers a comprehensive training program focused on Incident Management and quick highway clearance. Since 1991 WreckMaster has focused it’s efforts on providing the towing and recovery operator with the skills required to make them safe efficient and effective. Each WreckMaster training school consists of at least two days of towing and recovery training.

Each morning is spent in the classroom discussing theory, and each afternoon is spent in the field dealing with real-life situations.

WreckMaster graduates will carry a photo ID card that indicates their skill level.

 

 

LEVEL 2/3

Course Description: Students will learn Recovery, Resistance, Towing Cars/Trucks, Up-righting and Upsets, with or without wheels. They will discover just how much effort it takes to move a car using our attachment techniques, how to incorporate predictability and efficiency and most importantly they will gain confidence by understanding how to use their equipment safely and efficiently.

Who Should Attend: : This is a great class for new/existing operators, business owners/employees, safety managers and anyone looking to become more efficient by studying the WreckMaster discipline.

Duration: 2 day training course

Pre-Requisites: State or provincially issued drivers licence and any operator with any skill level or experience level can attend this class.

Designation: Level 2/3 WreckMaster certification, WreckMaster ID number, WreckMaster shoulder crest and WreckMaster photo certification ID card.

LEVEL 4/5

Course Description: Now that you know the basics and have had some actual experience, operators will now gain the information required to successfully move vehicles from soft surfaces such as muddy ditches and embankments with grades. You will be taught in the classroom and experience hands-on training in the field by our top instructors.

Who Should Attend: : This is a great class for new/existing operators, business owners/employees, safety managers, company’s who work/train with Fire and Rescue personnel and operators involved with incident management.

Duration: 2 day training course

Pre-Requisites: Must be Level 2/3 Certified to attend this course. Operators who have 1-3 years experience in the towing and recovery field or any operator with any skill level or experience level.

Designation: Level 4/5 WreckMaster certification, WreckMaster ID number and WreckMaster photo certification ID card.

Course Description: The career operator moves on to the next platform where the moving or up-righting of exotic, unusual, or loaded recoveries including end rolls are learned both in theory and in hands on training. You will be exposed to the newest and most efficient techniques taught today.

Who Should Attend: : This is a great class for operators, incident managers, company’s who work/train with Fire and Rescue personnel and operators wanting to learn how to do calculations and breakdowns of recovery scenarios.

Duration: 3 day training course

Pre-Requisites: Must be level 4/5 certified to attend this course. Operators who have 3-5 years experience in the towing and recovery field seem to benefit more by relating past experiences to the training modules.

Course Description: The long awaited Level 8/9 course is finally here! The pinnacle of WreckMaster training will provide its students with the next level of education for heavy incident managers and those looking to be the best operators they can be. We are welcoming any level 6/7 WreckMaster to attend this elite course but the first course on October 10-14, 2016 will be reserved for previous Top 10 and WreckMaster of the Years. LEVEL A/C

Course Description: This course explains the dynamics of using the assistance of air cushions to upright a loaded unit. You will learn how much force an air bag or air cushion can create, including high pressure and low pressure bags. In this class students will upright a van body trailer as well as a tanker, this provides a clear understanding of how different vehicles react in different environments.

Who Should Attend: : This is a great class for dispatchers, sales personnel, operators or individuals considering a career change.

LEVEL Rotator

Course Description: WreckMaster's rotator training course is open to all operators and you do not need to be WreckMaster certified to attend. This course will provide you with the tools to enhance your understanding of rotators by showing you the proper procedures for setting up the rotator platform, calculating lift capacity and determining forces applied to your rigging. This course is a must for the career operator.

Who Should Attend: : This is a great class for operators, incident managers, company’s who work/train with Fire and Rescue personnel and operators wanting to learn how to do calculations and breakdowns of recovery scenarios.

Duration: 2 day training course

Pre-Requisites: State or provincially issued drivers licence and any operator looking to gain more awareness and expreience using rotators.

Designation: WreckMaster certificate of compleation *this is not a certification course. Those seeking rotator certification will need to attend the full Level 8/9R cretification.
